Heartland Soccer Achieves Record-Breaking Registration for 2024 Fall League Season
OVERLAND PARK & OLATHE, Kan., July 18, 2024 – Heartland Soccer Association, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States, is excited to kick off the much-anticipated 2024 Spring League, the weekend of August 9-11. With a record-breaking participation of over 1,388 teams and 22,000 players aged 9 to 19, Heartland Soccer continues to solidify Kansas City’s status as the Soccer Capital of America.
The league, known for its commitment to excellence, offers an exceptional playing experience at four world-class turf facilities, including Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex and Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex. Open to players of all skill levels, the league embraces recreational and premier teams from across the Midwest, fostering healthy competition among 170 soccer clubs.
Shane Hackett, Heartland Soccer’s executive director, shared his thoughts on the upcoming Fall season: “We continue to see a rise in team registrations for our league each season. Our goal was to maintain our current numbers, given our four complexes are nearly at full capacity. We are pleased to see growth in the younger age groups, with more teams choosing Kansas City for our facilities and the opportunity to compete against teams from the Midwest. We look forward to welcoming back to all our players, coaches, referees, and parents.”
