OLATHE, Kan., Oct. 21, 2024 — Soccer fans of all ages and skill levels are invited to take part in the Skills Challenge at Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex on Saturday, Nov. 2 and Nov. 9, 2024. This event is a chance for players to test their dribbling, passing, and shooting abilities in a fun, friendly competition.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants can show off their skills across a variety of challenges, including dribbling, passing, and shooting contests. Players can race against the clock, navigate through tight zones, and compete for top honors. Awards will be given to the best in each division: U6-U19, and Adult/Open.
“We’re excited to bring back the Skills Challenge this fall. It’s a fun, competitive way for local soccer players to wrap up the season and test their skills,” said Shane Hackett, executive director of the Heartland Soccer Association. “Whether you’re a seasoned player or just love the game, it’s a great opportunity to show off your talents and connect with others in the soccer community.”
Registration is $20 per player, giving access to all challenges. Coaches are encouraged to bring their teams for some friendly competition, with discounted rates for team entries. Players can compete on Nov. 2 and Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and walk-up registrations will be accepted, though online registration is recommended.
