Heartland Soccer Association, the United States’ largest soccer league and premier tournament host, proudly announces the upcoming fourth annual Midwest College Showcase. Set to take place this weekend, March 1 to March 3, 2024, at the world-class GARMIN Olathe Soccer Complex, this invitational tournament aims to spotlight the exceptional talents of aspiring young men and women soccer players seeking collegiate opportunities.
The Midwest College Showcase provides the launch of the first-ever college showcase with the option of live streaming and playback through VidSport. This video platform will provide unprecedented access for college coaches across the nation, breaking down geographical barriers and expanding opportunities for talent discovery as coaches evaluate players through live stream and recorded game footage.
Participants in this showcase event will have the unique chance to demonstrate their skills before men’s and women’s college coaches from across the Midwest and beyond. Collegiate coaches from Divisions I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA, are invited to scout players both onsite and through remote live and recorded video channels.
In addition to the game schedule, players may participate in a scouting combine to showcase individual skills with dribbling, passing, shooting and agility drills.
Tailored for college-bound youth soccer players, the Midwest College Showcase is poised to become a premier collegiate showcase tournament. Tournament Director Dave Morrow expresses excitement, stating, “We’re thrilled to offer a high-quality event, marking one of the first College Showcases in 2024 at one of the finest soccer facilities in the U.S.”
The 2024 Midwest College Showcase will welcome more than 65 boys and girls competitive travel teams ages U-13 through U-19 from across the Midwest. This elite event gives players the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of a large number of college coaches within a smaller, more targeted gameplay tournament.
Shane Hackett, Executive Director of Heartland Soccer, emphasizes the event’s significance, stating, “With a select number of teams participating, our primary focus is to provide the best experiences and level of play for young athletes aiming for college soccer. This serves as an excellent pre-season opportunity for teams gearing up for the spring season, promising to be the country’s premier tournament showcase environment.”
Media are invited to cover the event, with the first set of games starting at 5:30 PM on Friday, followed by games on Saturday and Sunday beginning at approximately 8:00 AM.
Looking ahead, Heartland Soccer Association is gearing up for the Heartland Spring Cup on March 15-17, hosting 150 teams from across the Midwest, and the Kansas City Champions Cup scheduled for April 12-14, anticipated to draw more than 415 teams.
