2014 Midwest All Girls Tournament
This year's tournament saw 291 teams compete in a total of 47 divisions from U-8 through U-19. The weather was excellent and five different facilities were used in order to accommodate the large number of teams participating. The standard of competition was equally high, with no less than nine finals going to penalty kicks to determine the champions.
As was the case in 2013, the MAG was again able to use the event to support the breast cancer awareness cause. Among other features the tournament exclusively used pink corner flags and referee's assistant flags throughout the weekend, and Chevrolet brought out a pink decorated Camaro on Sunday.
We would like to thank the players, coaches, and most of all the parents who supported the event, and we look forward to seeing everyone back for another great tournament next year.
Just some of the comments we received after the tournament included
"The tournament was a great experience, we really enjoyed it."
"Just want to thank you and your staff for all the efforts in hosting the MAG. We always enjoy the opportunity to make the drive to KC to play at the OP Complex."

2014 HIT Girls Tournament
The Girls HIT was a once again a great success with 238 teams from all over the Midwest enjoying a terrific weekend to play the end of season tournament. While many of the local teams enjoyed success in this event, clubs from, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota and Nebraska were also able to lay claim to the title of champions in their division.
As the numbers of teams have increased, we at Heartland Soccer have been able to expand on the number of divisions. This has ensured that all teams, from Division 1 Premier through Recreational can be assured that they will be able to be matched up against comparable teams.
The introduction of the Swope Soccer Village has made for a another fantastic location for the teams to enjoy, and we have immediately received many compliments on the addition of these world class facilities.
We are also greatly indebted to the community of referees who are essential to the smooth functioning of these events. As the number of games continues to grow, their workload keeps increasing.

2014 HIT Boys Touranament
This year's Boys tournament will go down as one of the more remarkable tournaments in the history of Heartland Soccer. 353 teams is by far the largest non holiday tournament in the annals of Kansas City soccer. All games at this year's event were either played at the Overland Park complex or Heritage Soccer Park. Between them these teams played almost 600 games over the course of the weekend.
Teams came from as far afield as Minnesota, Colorado and Southern Texas as well as a large number of states in between. Many of the larger clubs in the Midwest were represented by multiple teams in this year's tournament. Sunday's finals were played in fantastic weather conditions, and were a perfect way to close out the Fall series of Heartland Soccer tournaments.
"Wanted to let you and all involved know that the 2014 Heartland Invitational was exceptional experience for Dynamo Juniors DJCT C 04 Boys from Austin, Texas. Facilities were outstanding, staff was very pleasant and helpful. Competition was great and officials well trained. Bar has been set high and tough for any other tournaments to match this one"
"The tournament went well for us, seemed very organized, and our boys had a blast! Thank you!"
We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2015!
